1.15, Nicodemus

Smallville, Episode 1.15: ChloeChloe is conducting a poll for the Torch wanting to know everyone's deepest desires. Pete says that sex and violence is human nature. Clark says that he wishes there wasn't a "no fly zone" over Lana; Chloe tells him he can "sit in his loft and play with his telescope or move on."

After Jonathan is admitted to the hospital, Chloe drags Lana with her to investigate the automobile crash. Chloe hears someone in the bushes and snaps a picture. She eventually tags back up with Lana and says the cite is a "dead end."

Clark later heads back to the Torch (he was cutting class in it earlier) and tells Chloe about his encounter with Nicodemus!Lana. Clark says that Chloe must have missed something at the accident. Chloe sees Dr. Hamilton in her photos from the crash. Clark and Chloe split up; Chloe goes off to talk with Dr. Hamilton and Clark goes off to warn Lana.

Chloe goes over to Dr. Hamilton's; apparently they've been corresponding over the internet [and this makes sense as she's known about him since at least Craving]. She shows him the picture and starts asking him questions. When Hamilton doesn't know about the accident; she spies the Nicodemus book and a meteorite on his desk. Chloe charms her way out saying that she was sorry of bothered him and claiming she was "partying with her friends."

She brings her snooping information to Pete and Clark; Pete notes that its nice to know that Smallville has always been weird. She spouts of information about the book and Pete adds in that they found a paper by Hamilton. Chloe found ties from Lex to Hamilton; Pete is upset but Clark says they don't know anything yet.

Pete and Chloe go snooping around Dr. Hamilton's lab. Pete calls her an expert on "breaking and entering." Pete breaks open one the flowers and gets infected; he tells she's beautiful but that he knows she's "only got eyes for Clark." She reluctantly gives him her keys.

She gets over to the hospital to talk with Clark; Chloe tells him that Hamilton was lying and that she found the nicodemus. When Chloe goes back the next morning to Hamilton's barn; it's completely empty. Hamilton is upset but Lex is relocating him to Cadmus Labs but Lex is moving him because of Lionel and Chloe.
