2009 E!Online CW Award NomineesE! Online is at it again with their CW Awards:

Every year when awards season rolls around, we get bummed that some of the shows we enjoy the most—the ones on the CW—aren't even without shouting distance of a nomination, much less a trophy.

So last year we decided to something about it and invented the totally unofficial and totally fun CW Awards, which honors the great acting and writing specific to that network (hush, haters), and this year we're at it again.

If you remember, last year Smallville only walked away with one win (Allison Mack for Best Supporting Actress, where they didn't nominate any of Smallville's actresses for a Lead) with Sam Witwer as a Runner-Up for Best Supporting Actor.  This year, they diversified the nominations for Smallville; it has gotten one for best show, Tom Welling up again for Best Lead Actor, Allison Mack for Best Lead Actress, Justin Hartley up for Best Supporting Actor, and Erica Durance up for Best Supporting Actress.

Between the new hit Vampire Diaries, the online excitement for Life Unexpected, and the omnipresent love for both Supernatural and Gossip Girls, this promisses to be a tough year again for Smallville.  However, Allison did just place second on Girls On Top and did well last year so let's keep our fingers crossed that maybe she can win again for the series.
