Sometimes She's Blonde: Disguises in Comics

A Look At Comics Disguises

In the Pre-Crisis DC Universe, it wasn't uncommon for Lois Lane to hatch out alter-egos,  or have sudden amnesia for stories, or in order to get to Superman. DC Calls Smallville "Almost an Elseworld"

DC senior vice-president -- creative affairs at DC Comics, Gregory Noveck talked to Comics Continuum about Smallville and how they are involved with what comic characters are on the show.  Noveck gets into the history of how DC's relationship with Smallville has changed over the years and how Smallville has evolved to be an Elseworld type of story:

Smallville, Episode 1.21: Chloe and ClarkSmallville, Episode 1.21: Chloe and ClarkClark is preparing for the Formal; trying to decide his tie color, get the flowers, and even thinking to borrow a limo from Lex because he "knows" she wants one even though she says she doesn't.  However, Chloe accidentally dashes his good mood when she tells him that the LuthorCorp plant was closed that morning.

Later that day, Clark meets Chloe in the Torch, claiming to have been looking for her; she tells him that she still wants to go to the Spring Formal to "appreciate all the quaint Smallville High customs while [she] can"; it turns out Gabe is talking of moving back to Metropolis permanently.  This doesn't thrill Clark or Chloe at all; Chloe makes Clark promise her that "Saturday is going to be great."  Clark tells her it will "be a night [she'll] never forget."
